For AMPLEXOR, this event surrounding regulatory compliance represents “a great opportunity to connect with a lot of our clients and prospects in this space,” says AMPLEXOR’s Kathleen O’Brien, Director of Business Development, who helped represent AMPLEXOR at the event. “Packaging and labelling are a big part of what we do on the language service side of our business, as well as the software solutions side of our business.”
Attendees included pharmaceutical employees concerned with regulatory compliance involved in all aspects of the supply chain, from Global Directors to Quality Assurance Specialists. “This event attracts key industry people, so we have the opportunity to connect and reconnect with clients and industry partners every year,” says O’Brien.
AMPLEXOR values attendance at events such as these, and this event in particular, because “it’s important for us to know what matters to our clients,” says O’Brien. “It’s very important to make sure we are up to date with the latest trends and innovations within the industry, or perhaps challenges.” Speakers also educated on topics such as drug fraud, number transposition, and the current opioid crisis.
O’Brien herself, along with David Gwyn, Global Solutions Architect at AMPLEXOR, delivered a presentation entitled “Ensuring Compliance for Pharma Companies Through Local Label Deviations: Stay Out of Hot Water with the Health Authorities.” This presentation was based on an AMPLEXOR customer case study of a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company. The case study addresses the challenges that come with maintaining global and local regulatory compliance by drug companies.
The key takeaways for the regulatory compliance presentation were:
Step-by-step considerations for assessing the quality of current state of local labeling
Short term, mid-term and long-term strategies for achieving global regulatory compliance on local labeling and working towards zero percent errors in labeling
How to maximize technology and AI, including an overview of industry innovations developed by AMPLEXOR Life Sciences exclusively for pharmaceutical companies
Now in its 11th year, the Pharma Packaging and Labeling Conference is an event AMPLEXOR will continue to attend in future years.
